How Grad Portfolio Day Works?

Grad Portfolio Days form part of an event organized by the National portfolio Days Association to help grad students choose a specialty or a program, after finding out more information about what interests them.

The Grad Portfolio Days are organized for students. The whole event revolves around their needs and especially their need for information before making a definitive decision. Students that have finished their Bachelor’s Degree and received their diploma may want to continue their studies for another few years before jumping into the real world. Most students don’t have an idea what to do when they finish university, and the rest do not have the luxury of immediately receiving a job once they get their degree. This forces some of them to further their education and become prepared for what is to come.

Grad Portfolio Days are here to help these grad students find their way in order to forge a future. How it works? Grad Portfolio Days gets together many art students from everywhere and puts them in the same space as students who have finished or are currently going to the grad programs they future students may find an interest in. The event is not for students exclusively, it is also where one can find professors and councilors that can provide information, respond to inquiries and answer questions of the hundreds of students who come to the event.

Grad Portfolio Days work because they are in the interest of the students. They are able to ask questions about any program they might be interested in and can receive all the answers they were hoping for. Students can also present their current portfolios to the professors or councilors in order to receive feedback. This feedback can help them improve or enhance what they already have to make things easier by the time of admission.
