Grad Portfolio Day Dates
Each and every year, thousands of art and design graduates from all over North America assemble together in various locations across the great United States to show off the vast and visionary skill set they have acquired through four years of intensive training at their respective institutions of learning. It is here that you will find pure, unadulterated ideas, the quintessence of human creativity, the pinnacle of the artistic world as these hopeful up-and-comers converge in one place displaying their lifelong passion to prying eyes, longing to make a name for themselves, a permanent place in the art world, joining legends like Picasso, Monet, and Jack Kirby.
This year's graduate portfolio days will be held at three locations. Kicking off this year's tour of talent will be the San Francisco Art Institute, representing those students who majored in art and design on the west coast. Located at 800 Chestnut Street in San Francisco, California, this event will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from noon to four PM, EST. The second host and representing the east coast of the United States will be Parsons: The New School for Design. Located in the heart of New York City, this event will be held Sunday, October 29, 2011 from noon to four PM, EST at 66 Fifth Avenue. The third and final host, representing the midwestern prodigies of art, located in the Windy City will be the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It will be held Sunday, November 6, 2001 from noon to four PM, EST. This university is located at 37 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL .
These events are always a blast to attend as future stars of the art world show off their current talent and future potential.
